I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC) in May 2016. My advisor was Prof. Viktor Prasanna. During my Ph.D., I was also mentored by Dr. Yogesh Simmhan and Dr. Charalampos Chelmis.

My Ph.D. research focused on developing AI methods and data-driven models for dynamic decision making in smart grid. I was affiliated with the Smart Grid group, where I was a part of the Los Angeles Smart Grid demonstration project.

Previously, I completed my Master's in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, in Ottawa, Canada. I was associated with the Natural Language Processing (NLP) group, where I did research in the area of emotion analysis in text under the guidance of Prof. Stan Szpakowicz.

I grew up in Aligarh, India, and did my Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from the Aligarh Muslim University.
